believed, the sequel will be directed by Homi Adajania and produced by Dinesh
Vijan. This will also mark Dinesh and Homi`s reunion for a project after a long
time. Homi and Dinesh had earlier worked together in `Being Cyrus` and
`Cocktail`. Rumours suggest that Sara Ali Khan is being considered to play the
grown-up Pia (Irrfan`s daughter in the film).

Hindi films of 2017. The comedy-drama, directed by Saket Chaudhary, was not
only applauded by film critics but was also a super hit at the box-office with
lifetime collections of Rs 69.59 crore.

movie Hindi Medium 2, in the director`s chair would be Homi
Adajania, who has earlier directed films like Cocktail and Finding Fanny for
Maddock Films. The story of the sequel will be forwarded by a decade and it
would be as much as Raj`s story as much as of his daughter Pia, who had
finished high school in the prequel.
Dinesh Vijan of Maddock

last year. It has taken us 6-7 months to finish. We had structured the first
part in a way which can help us go ahead with the sequel because this kind of
film deserves one. Also, it`s important to do franchisable films."
Irrfan received the
award for Best Actor in a Leading Role for his performance in the film.
