Aiyaary actress Rakul Preet Singh who is prepping up for the release of her upcoming thriller opposite Sidharth Malhotra will next be seen romancing Ajay Devgan in Luv Ranjan`s upcoming romcom. The film focuses on urban relationships and the strings attached.

Rakul would be seen playing a feisty and super-confident urban girl. Luv Ranjan, the writer, and producer of the movie, says, "Rakul exudes wonderful energy. It didn`t take us long to bring her on board because her natural persona fits the character to the tee." Rakul who made her debut with `Yaariyan`is a great performer and her strong foothold in South films has made her the perfect choice. We also enjoy a great association with  Luv and Ajay, and are delighted to take these relationships forward." said  Bhushan Kumar, Managing Director, T- Series.

Tabu and Ajay will be seen together yet again in the rom-com. Rakul Preet Singh, known for her work in South films, is back in Bollywood with a bang.

After almost four years away from B-Town following the success of ‘Yaariyan’, the actress will now be seen in two Bollywood films this year. The first film ‘Aiyaary’, directed by Neeraj Pandey, gears up for release on February 9, and Rakul has now signed another big film, according to a report in Mid-Day.

The romantic comedy is to be directed by Akiva Ali and produced by ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama’ fame Luv Ranjan. After playing nemesis ‘Drishyam’ and starring together in Golmaal Again, Ajay and Tabu would finally be seen sharing the screen in the movie. Rumors are Ajay Devgn upcoming movie romcom will be romantically paired opposite Rakul like he was opposite Parineeti Chopra in the Rohit Shetty directorial.

"It`s a unique rom-com and not a love triangle. Ajay and Tabu are not opposite each other and Luv have written the role with Tabu in mind, believing that only she can play the part. Another A-list actress will be cast as Ajay`s love interest." said a source close to the movie.

The movie would hit the theatres during Dussehra this year.
