Yay! Get ready to groove to some bhangra beats, have lots of laddoos and book your calendars for Sonam Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan`s Veere Di Wedding. Iron your sherwanis, prepare your lehengas and get ready to be enthralled by some shaadi fever! Well! Veere Di Wedding Release date has been announced. June 1 has been booked for the grand ceremony where Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhaskar and Shikha Talsania promise a thorough entertainer.
The makers had earlier released the first look of the film in October and featured all the actresses clad in male wedding attire. From the looks of it, one can say that the film will revolve around a wedding and will explore the female friendships in the plot. The film is directed by Shashanka Ghosh, who earlier helmed Sonam Kapoor and Fawad Khan starrer Khoobsurat in 2014. Kareena Kapoor Khan`s Veere Di Wedding is a romantic comedy is co-produced by Sonam`s sister Rhea Kapoor, Ekta Kapoor and Nikhil Dwivedi and chronicles the story of four friends attending a wedding together. The film, which is written by Nidhi Mehra and Mehul Suri, has been shot in Mumbai, Delhi, and Phuket. Proudcer Ekta Kapoor said the film would release on her nephew Lakkshya`s birthday. Lakkshya is the son of actor Tusshar Kapoor. He was born in IVF and surrogacy in June 2016.
The production of Veere Di Wedding was reportedly delayed due to Kapoor’s pregnancy. “When producers drop actresses for any reason, Rhea waited for me to come back,” she had said last year. “That speaks highly of her and the kind of girl-bonding film we’re making.” The actress last appeared in Abhishek Chaubey’s Udta Punjab (2016).
This is definitely going to be a wedding to remember. We are hoping that Upcoming Movie Veere Di Wedding will usher in a new phase in the Hindi film industry. Nothing like this has been attempted before and we hope it’s a fun ride for the audience!
