Kangana Ranaut`s `Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi` to release in June?

We have a piece of bad news for Kangana Ranaut fans out there. Her first film of the year 2018, Manikarnika could be a delayed.  Instead of April, her upcoming period film Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi will release in June. Well! Kangana Ranaut’s fans, who have eagerly been waiting to see her as the Rani of Jhansi in the period drama Manikarnika, may have to wait just a little longer.

The movie will also star Pavitra Rishta fame Ankita Lokhande. Despite the fact that Kangana`s last outings Simran and Rangoon failed at the box office, there are a lot of expectations riding on her for this one. The movie is about the life of Rani Laxmibai of Jhansi and her war against the British East India Company, during the Indian Rebellion of 1857.

With Bollywood turning to history books for their upcoming line-up of films, another historical drama gearing up for its release is Kangana Ranaut`s `Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi`. The film was in the news after reports claimed that an Indo-British film `Swords and Sceptres`, based on Rani Laxmibai might just release in March. As if that wasn`t enough reason to worry, reports now claim that the release of the Kangana starter might be postponed. According to reports doing the round, `Manikarnika` might only release in June or July as the VFX team will take a tad longer to finish the post-production work on the film. Kangana is currently holidaying in Himachal Pradesh with her family and is expected to head home soon to resume the shoot. Well, earlier there were reports stating that Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi is being shelved due to lack of budget. However, the makers of the film surprised everyone by announcing its release date which was 27th April 2018. Sadly, this news may have hurt Kangana’s fans as they might have to wait for Kangana to see her as Queen of Jhansi.

Now the film will release only in June, or maybe even July.”Manikarnika: the Queen of Jhansi is being directed by Krish, and will be Kangana’s first movie as a producer.
