‘DaasDev’ director Sudhir Mishra speaks!

Richa Chadda And Aditi Rao Hydari Daas Dev

Richa chadda and Aditi Rao Hydari starrer Daas Dev going to be another remake of Devdas. Finally, something that follows Devdas, the legendary Bhansali money maker. Generally, when movies end with the lead dying it does not leave any scope for further development.

Sudhir Mishra UpcomingDaasDev” sequel has Richa Chadda, Aditi Rao Hydari and Rahul Bhatt in the lead roles as Paro, Chandramukhi and Dev respectively. When asked if he picked the story from Devdas, Sudhir Misra boldly admitted that he did so all while speaking about his rights as a filmmaker which gives him the liberty to use any work of art that has been previously done and all of the work is a part of his heritage. Well, we cannot disagree on that with especially something like the Padmavati controversy in the background, screaming for someone to make a statement.
The story revolves around the same characters of Dev, Paro, and Chandramukhi but unlike the previous one this has today’s backdrop and the characters are based on the same. The story goes backward where Dev, the protagonist instead of going from Dev to Daas goes from Daas to Dev. Daas is basically someone enslaved to a particular; in this case, Dev is a slave to power.

Sudhir Mishra DaasDev is all set to hit the theatres on February 16, 2018.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s upcoming movie “Thackeray”

Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s upcoming movie Thackeray

After getting lots of attention from lots of movies like Bajrangi Bhaijan, monsoon shootout, Gangs of Wasseypur, The Lunchbox, Kick, Badlapur, Manjhi - The Mountain Man Nawazuddin Siddiqui Come up with another biopic on Balasaheb Thackeray.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s upcoming movie “Thackeray based on some essence of Balasaheb`s life in films like "Sarkar" but a biopic was never made on this iconic personality. You can say that Bal Thackeray`s life was not less than a dramatic movie. Member of Parliament and Journalist Sanjay Raut penned down the life of this iconic personality and Abhijit Panse directed this bilingual film. Balasaheb Thackeray, who was popularly known as "Hindu Hriday Samraat", was an Indian politician, chief and founder of the Shiv Sena, Marathi ethnocentric party active mainly in Maharashtra and a right-wing Hindu nationalist.Balsaheb Thackeray doesn`t happen in every generation and the film should reach out the globe like the film "Gandhi" did. So, the director reportedly felt that those lurid controversies happening with Nawaz were good for the gossip tabloids, but not for an eligible actor who is signed play a national leader of significant status.

Thackeray has just hit the internet and we can’t stop talking about it he puts all his heart, mind, and soul into his roles and with Nawaz as a lead in this film we can expect some mind-blowing performance. Recently Nawaz constantly chaos all over the internet by mentioning every little detail of his love life in his memoir "An Ordinary Life" without seeking the permission of women that are involved in this. And for the same reason, his role for "Thackeray Movie" was at stake. By putting an end to all the rumors Thackeray poster and teaser released yesterday which is taking the social media by storm. In the “Thackeray” teaser, Nawaz replicating the look of this enigmatic politician on point. First glance at the poster and you already know that Nawaz will ace this character as well!

Tiger Zinda Hai Movie Critic Review

Tiger  Zinda  Hai Review

Ali Abbas Zafar, Yash Raj Film Production coordination with Salman Khan’s latest film Tiger Zinda Hai  Thas taken the nation by a storm! It is the sequel from the first movie Ek Thaiger. The film is based on real-life  incident. In 2014 forty-six Indian and Pakistani nurses have been abducted by a terrorist group ISC (read ISIS) in Iraq. They were initially stranded at a hospital in Tikrit and later moved to Mosul from where they were freed by the fighters of Islamic State of Iraq and Syria.

In this Movie, Salman portrays the role of a RAW agent. Salman with guns and Salman doing crazy action sequence the perfect recipe for a box office blockbuster! We list down the  Tiger Zinda Hai movie critic review . Let’s see how the critics have reacted to the film.

Dev Meher from Freshboxoffice, a filmmaker himself reviewed Tiger Zinda Hai and gave it 3 stars. He has stated, “Tiger Zinda Hai has several things going right – the 150 Crores budget to start with spectacular action sequences; it’s a sequel to the runaway hit ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ and Salman-Zafar actor-director pairing. But is that everything one can expect from potboiler? Salman Khan looks rugged, Katrina Kaif looks tough, the director appears excited, the production team has gone all out, and the energy is palpable. Director Ali Abbas Zafar has definitely lived up to the expectations. There is patriotism packaged quite subtly. He has kept the proceedings going briskly and the melodrama trimmed to a delightful baseline. The Music has already rocked the charts and the edit is taut and well-done for a film running over 2 and half hours.”

Taran Adarsh is a film critic, journalist, editor and a film trade analyst and this is what he had to say, “Salman is the lifeline, the real treasure of #TigerZindaHai. He sinks his teeth into the character and, in several sequences, peels off the mask of superstardom and brings the actor to the fore... Katrina is in solid form, in action sequences specifically. Commands attention...TigerZindaHai has several strengths: Engaging storyline. Enthralling screenplay that’s powered by clap-trap dialogue. The authentic texture of the world it’s set in. Trendy soundtrack. Last but not the least, the stunningly executed action pieces...”

Anupama Chopra is a well-known film critic and is also the director of the Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival didn’t much like the film and said, “Salman Khan`s stardom trumps storytelling. But there`s not enough of an adrenalin rush or entertainment in director-writer Ali Abbas Zafar`s thriller. Tiger Zinda Hai is flat out exhausting. The story is much too long and convoluted. The frame is filled with characters but apart from Tiger, none of them make an impact. And for me, the weakest link is that there is nothing that moors you emotionally. But none of this is enough to propel the film or to give you a high. Tiger Zinda Hai is fun in bits and spurts but there isn’t enough buoyancy to make it a slam dunk.”

The Bollywood site and digital portal, Bollywood Hungama is going gaga over the film and posted, “On the whole, TIGER ZINDA HAI is a high-octane masala entertainer that stays true to its genre. At the box office, the audiences will give the film an epic ‘swagat’ as it is bound to entertain them thoroughly. This one is a SURE SHOT BLOCKBUSTER and nothing can stop it from setting new records.”

Love him or hate him, Salman Khan is going to stay and make the bhai lovers fall more in love with him. This was the critic reviews of Tiger Zinda Hai movie. We hope you get an idea on the film and decide whether to watch or chuck it. We insist you go ahead and give this film a watch and swag se karo bahi ka swagat!

Tiger Zinda Hai Movie Review

Tiger Zinda Hai  Movie Review

So hey guys, finally after a long wait by Salman’s fan Tiger Zinda Hai finally released yesterday. Ali Abbas Zafar’s 150 crore film is the sequel to record-breaking blockbuster 'Ek Tha Tiger’. This movie actually based on a true story abduction of Indian nurses by ISIL in 2014.

1-Ratings: 3/5 Review By:Dev Meher : Site- Fresh Box Office

A spy thriller recipe is usually four Characters – one for techno and gadgets, one for shooting around, one for emotions (in this case, patriotism) and one for laughs. And  of course, Sal-Man. But What ruins the movies these days is too much promotions. You know the plot, that is fine. But going to a movie knowing every single story thread is a bit disappointing, And, for someone who can predict mercilessly, it is a lamentable curse. Well, ditto.

So, having embraced my Movie Déjà vu condition, I course along with superspies Tiger and Zoya. Salman Khan as Tiger arrives at Iraq with Swag and Katrina as Zoya follows. Even five years later, Salman and Katrina coming on-screen together is sparkling. It is not like you go expecting romance inan action thriller film but I must say when you get that in the form of Salman-Katrina, it is not so bad. But, beyond the physical chemistry, it is just fizz.

What stood out for me in the movie is the ‘Tera Noor’ sequence. It is gold. Just before the sequence, we come to know how innocent teenage girls are kept as sex slaves. So when the song comes along and led by Zoya, retribution happens, it is quite cathartic. With the soulful Sufi in the background and an anguished Zoya killing without mercy, it is a treasure of a scene.

The scene also made me reflect about the world what we have done to the world and each other. And you could watch the movie, only for this one.
The day of the air strike has great build up. Director Ali Abbas Zafar has definitely lived up to the expectations. There is patriotism packaged quite subtly. He has kept the proceedings going briskly and the melodrama trimmed to a delightful baseline. The Music has already rocked the charts and the edit is taut and well-done for a film running over 2 and a half hours.

This is, in terms of scale, a highlight film for Bollywood and Salman Khan. In terms of cinematic effort, may be next time.

Tiger Zinda Hai is an improvement on 2012’s Ek Tha Tiger whose simplistic politics of the region and cringey central romance distracted from some decent action sequences. Loosely based on true events, the new film, however, is a slick affair, and although the politics is still simplistic, director Ali Abbas Zafar goes balls-out with the action, Tiger Zinda Hai is way too long at 2 hours and 41 minutes, but it packs some thrilling action and a beloved leading man presented in just the manner that the fans seem to want to see him.I’m going with three out of five.

Ali Abbas Zafar’s dialogues are excellent and several of them are clapworthy. In fact, some dialogues will elicit loud and huge rounds of applause. But one does wish, there were more such dialogues. On the whole, Tiger Zinda Hai is a super-entertainer and will yield very huge profits at the ticket windows. The super-hit fare will turn out to be one of the biggest blockbusters of all times.

With such a premise, the storyline needed to be far more compelling and the editing much tauter. Needless to add, a lot of sequences defy logic, but at the same time, there are many moments that will leave Salman Khan and action film fans impressed. Whether Tiger is Zinda or not for the next round, that's for you to find out.

7-Ratings: 2.5/5 Review By:Shubhra Site:Indian Express

I’d enjoyed the first one while it lasted. I had fun in this one too, once I got past the whole ‘Come, Children, Here’s Make A Spy Story For You’ explanatory model of the flick, directed this time by Ali Abbas Zafar. Literally every plot point is picked up and repeated BEFORE it happens, so everything is easy peasy, comic-book-y. I shut my ears every time this happened, and returned only when the action re-started. Which, let me tell you, there is plenty of, and almost all well-choreographed, even if familiar. And the number of vehicles going up in smoke should give Rohit Shetty a complex.

his film simply isn't interested in achieving any balance. The emphasis is unwaveringly on Salman the saviour. Katrina, fetching but flimsy, is compelled to take a backseat. Mercifully, the principal antagonist Abu Usman, played by Iran-born, UAE-raised Sajjad Delafrooz is no pushover: he makes his presence felt in no uncertain terms.Undeniably impressive in terms of its scale and flawless technical attributes, Tiger Zinda Hai is an exercise that rings utterly hollow. Its surface nous cannot conceal the sheer purposeless of all the noise it generates.

10-Ratings:4/5 Review By:Umesh Punwani Site:Koimoi

What’s Good: Despite a Salman Khan film when a director puts story as his priority, that’s a major good. Salman Khan proving yet again why he’s termed as Blockbuster Khan! What’s Bad: There are few loopholes but can be totally ignored as the movie never fails to keep you delighted by its grandness.Loo Break: Why? Tiger abhi zinda hai!Watch or Not?: Even if you have never got entertained by Salman Khan (Which could never be the case) go and watch this movie.

11-Ratings:4/5 Review By:Manju Site: Masala

A pure entertainer, TZH is based on a real incident that shook the nation a few years ago - that of nurses being taken hostage in Iraq. In this case, the writer/director mixes them up into Indian and Pakistani nurses that thus allow both RAW and ISI scope to work together. Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif head operations of RAW and ISI respectively to rescue the nurses and bring them to safety from terrorist Abu Usman played by the gorgeous UAE-based Iranian actor Sajjad Delfarooz.Well scripted, well shot and engaging TZH is a good watch and a very entertaining film.

While the film is largely testosterone-laced, the vision of Kaif executing deadly stunts is a bloody sight to behold. While she’s stone-faced in emotional scenes, she seems to revel in pummelling people to the ground.Watch this if you are in the mood to see a stoic, stone-faced swashbuckling superhero, aka Salman Khan, and some supremely well-executed action sequences. Don’t go looking for soul, though.

Aaj Se Teri song Padman All Set to Steal Thousand Hearts

Akshay Kumar's Upcoming Film Padman
Seems likes Gotham City might be missing out on this superhero. It`s not ‘Bat-sy Bat-sy`, nor the cute 20 something nerd by choice Barry Allen. Nope. You are not even close. Say hello to the hunk-next-door Akki a.k.a Padman.

Akshay Kumar’s upcoming film Padman shows him in a completely different avatar has played the part of the real-life hero Arunachalam Murugananatham. The movie revolves around the life of `Padman` who took upon himself the `sinister` (lol!) task of coming up with a machine that gives women biodegradable sanitary napkins at a lower cost. Ostracized from his village and abandoned by family, the movie focuses on the hardships faced by this rather unconventional husband, in the pursuit of his goal. The movie is based on a book The Legend of Lakshmi Prasad by the fast turning feminist icon Twinkle Khanna.
After a very successful launch of the trailer, the filmmakers have released the first song from the score `Aaj se teri` which gives us a sneak peek into the simple and ordinary life of a newlywed couple. The track starts with a soft shehnai playing in the background and kicks off to catch a faster tempo. Radhika Apte loaded beautifully in red from head to toe could give you some serious marriage goals. The couple reminds you of `banna-banni` with their quintessential wedding attire.

Aaj Se Teri Song Padman
Aaj Se Teri song Padman takes us further into the plain vanilla life of Laxmikant and Gayatri. The tinker boy works day in and day out to take care of his dear wife`s comfort. Gayatri is rushed into utter domesticity and confirms to life`s normalities. The hubby, however, is a man of vision and innovation.

Don`t we all just love the scene when he comes in to find his wife teary-eyed, from chopping onions! He comes up with this brilliant idea to convert a toy (the good old clapping monkey) into an onion chopper.  Tons of quirky inventions follow.
His unorthodox and bizarre manners make him the crazy-guy of the village. However, that doesn`t stop him from wooing his plain Jane and a rather innocent wife.
It is very clear the filmmakers have put in a lot effort into the picturization and background music to make it, as village-like as possible. The occasional claps in-betweens and the perfect countryside scenery give us some major rural vibes. Director R. Balki has given justice to the characters with their de-glam and mostly ground looks.

Aaj Se Teri Padman Sung by Arijit Singh, Amit Trivedi`s symphonic composition breathes life into lyricist Kausar Munar`s mellow words. The release date of the movie is set on 26th of January 2018. Let us hope it fares well in the box office, fingers crossed.

All being said and done, won`t we all love a `Laxmikant Chauhan` for ourselves? (sigh!)
