From last few days “Padmavati” the upcoming Bollywood movie is constantly in controversy. Some protester said that the film shows the legendary Rajput queen Padmavati and her community in poor light and there is some dream sequence between Alauuidin Khilji and Maharani Padmavati. It has been completely denied by the makers of the film.
On 14th of November 2017, Sanjay Leela Bhansali announces that they were prepared to screen “Padmavati”. Ajit Andhare, Chief Operating Officer, Viacom18 Motion Pictures, said the cases that film was a contortion of history were not valid and they were interested in screening the film after it was cleared by the Central Board of Film Certification.
Ajit Andhare said that they don’t have any problem to show the film but first they need some clearance because they are imagining something different and they want to quell all these doubts first.
He said they didn`t need the film to stall out in any further discussion and were holding up to get notification from the CBFC. They want to clear the needless controversy. This film doesn`t need it. The film has its own merit and they just want that the censor board gives them a screening date so that they can take this movie ahead.
It was confirmed by the censor court this film was submitted to the CBFC a week ago by Bhansali Production team connected online last Friday. They are holding up to get notification from the board for the screening. That is what they need first. He was not foreseeing any problem. There was no film in the history which clearance result got delayed by Censor board and he believes that the censor board result coming first so they have nothing to worry about.
